Reinsurance Finance Consultant - Ceded, Finance, SOX 

Our sister company Stellarmann is supporting a leading insurance organisation with an urgent requirement for a Reinsurance Finance Consultant. This role will play a key part in supporting audit activities, SOX compliance documentation, controls embedding, and wider ceded reinsurance change initiatives across the business. Working closely with Finance, Risk, and Operational stakeholders, you will help strengthen the controls environment, support audit delivery, and drive process improvements within a highly regulated insurance environment.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Own and support delegated Ceded Finance BAU activity
• Support the documentation, maintenance, and enhancement of SOX-compliant controls and processes
• Ensure control evidence is accurately captured, maintained, and available for audit purposes
• Coordinate with external auditors and business stakeholders to facilitate audit delivery
• Track audit requests, deliverables, and testing activity, providing regular progress updates
• Support ceded reinsurance change initiatives and related process improvement activities
• Partner with business teams to identify control weaknesses and operational inefficiencies
• Educate and guide business process owners on compliance requirements and best practices
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects across Finance, Risk, and Operations as required

We are looking for:

• Strong insurance Finance experience, ideally within the London Market
• Experienced in Internal Audit, SOX Compliance, Risk Management, Accounting, or Financial Controls.
• Experience within Ceded Reinsurance is desirable, although candidates with a broader Insurance Finance background will also be considered.
• Hands on experience of SOX, COSO, internal controls, and audit frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

This is an initial 6-month assignment offering a competitive market-rate day rate outside IR35, with a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days per week in the London office.
