Product Owner – Global Reinsurance Transformation

Our sister company Stellarmann are supporting a leading global insurer on a major reinsurance transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Product Owner to drive the delivery of a new reinsurance capability that sits at the heart of a wider business model transformation. This role will play a key part in shaping and delivering a strategic technology programme that integrates reinsurance with underwriting, claims and finance platforms across multiple lines of business and global regions.

Reporting into senior business leadership, this position will act as the day-to-day reinsurance lead for the programme, providing both deep reinsurance subject matter expertise and Product Ownership capability. You will work closely with business stakeholders, specialist SMEs and technology teams to define priorities, manage dependencies and ensure the successful delivery of a scalable reinsurance solution that supports the organisation's future operating model.

You'll be a great fit for this role if:

• You have extensive experience working within reinsurance and possess strong knowledge of ceded reinsurance, retrocession arrangements and portfolio administration.

• You have previously operated as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or transformation lead on complex reinsurance technology programmes.

• You can confidently translate complex reinsurance requirements into clear and actionable priorities for technology and delivery teams.

• You have experience working across interconnected insurance functions, including underwriting, claims and finance.

• You are comfortable owning and prioritising product backlogs while balancing competing stakeholder requirements and programme dependencies.

• You can provide guidance and business context to development teams who may have limited reinsurance domain knowledge.

• You have strong stakeholder management skills and can effectively engage with business leaders, SMEs, architects and technology teams.

• You have experience delivering large-scale insurance transformation initiatives within Agile or iterative delivery environments.

 
This is an Outside IR35 contract, with an initial 12-month term and a strong likelihood of extension for a further 6-12 months. The programme is well established, with significant delivery activity still planned across multiple regions and lines of business, providing a long-term opportunity to influence a business-critical transformation. The role requires just 1 day per week onsite in London.
