Data Governance Consultant - Databricks, Microsoft Purview & Enterprise Data Platforms
Our client, a leading London Market insurer, is seeking an experienced Data Governance Consultant to join their Enterprise Data Platform programme on an initial 6-month contract. This is a hands-on delivery role focused on the practical implementation of data governance processes, controls and operating models. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the offshore delivery partner, ensuring governance requirements are understood, prioritised and delivered effectively. ou will work closely with the Programme Lead, Business Analyst, BAU Governance team and offshore delivery partner to help establish robust governance processes around metadata, data ownership, stewardship and data quality as the platform moves towards production.

Experience Required:
- Proven experience working with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or Snowflake within an Enterprise Data Platform environment.
- Strong experience implementing and embedding Data Governance frameworks and controls.
- Demonstrable knowledge of:
- Metadata Management
- Data Quality
- Data Ownership
- Data Stewardship
- Experience working with Microsoft Purview and/or Unity Catalog.
- Ability to translate business requirements into governance processes and delivery outcomes.
- Experience working between business stakeholders and third-party delivery partners.
- Experience supporting data governance operating models and governance controls.
- Knowledge of data ownership frameworks and data quality issue management processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a hands-on delivery capacity rather than a purely strategic governance role.
- London Market Insurance experience is essential.
