Technical Author / Junior Technical Architect – Outside IR35 Contract
We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Author to improve and standardise our internal service design documentation.

We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Author to improve and standardise our internal service design documentation.
What you’ll do:
- Refine and create clear, consistent technical designs for service changes and implementations.
- Define what “good design” looks like — including capacity, testing, security, implementation planning, and impact analysis.
- Introduce templates, best practices, and easy-to-use documentation standards.
- Coach teams on producing high-quality designs and support them in completing their work.
- Catalogue, consolidate, and manage design documentation across Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Markdown.
- Experience in large, complex, global organisations and fast-paced transformation environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills — able to work with developers, architects, operations, DevOps, and suppliers.
- Solid technical understanding of networks, applications, hosting, and cloud (Azure).
- Proactive, approachable, and solution-focused attitude.
