Information Security Architect – London Market, Technical Security, Risk & Design

A leading London Market insurer is seeking an experienced Information Security Architect to join its Security Architecture function. This role sits at the centre of a forward‑thinking security strategy and will play a critical part in designing, assessing, and overseeing secure technical solutions across the organisation. You’ll work closely with IT, project teams, architects, and business stakeholders to embed security by design, enhance technical governance, and support the delivery of secure, modernised systems and services.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if:

• You have strong technical leadership experience within information security or security architecture
• You can confidently design, review, and implement secure technical solutions aligned to organisational security strategies
• You bring deep experience conducting technical risk assessments across complex change and technology programmes
• You’re skilled at working with project managers, GRC teams, technical architects, infrastructure, and service delivery to embed security early
• You can translate complex technical security concepts into simple, clear language for non‑technical teams
• You’re comfortable providing technical oversight, challenge, and guidance from an InfoSec perspective
• You have experience reviewing and approving design documentation, and representing security at design authority forums
• You can develop and maintain security technical patterns, specifications, and reference architectures
• You are highly organised, able to work under pressure, and confident managing competing priorities
• You hold (or are working toward) relevant certifications such as CISSP, SANS, OSCP, CISA, AWS, Azure

This is a contract role paying circa £850 per day inside IR35 and requires 3 days per week onsite in London.
